The reliability of our medium-duty trucks reflects of our reliability as a business partner. Clean-burning, emissions compliant engines offer flexibility of GVMS range from 10,400kg to 26,000kg. Employing a common rail system for optimum control of the fuel injection process, and a high-efficiency exhaust gas recirculation system to reduce combustion temperature, the 500 Series achieves almost complete combustion.

Our trucks are tested on a range of systems for fuel efficiency, driving and cold weather performance. The truck’s air suspension helps absorb vibrations from road bumps, achieving transport quality. While the taper-leaf suspension is designed to produce less inter-leaf friction to deliver a flat riding feeling and high durability.

The 500 Series offers clear-vision instruments, a tachometer, speedometer, remote central locking, and full suite of warning gauges and lights. All models have factory-fitted Denso air conditioning, cruise control and remote central locking with an integrated engine immobiliser, and power-operated windows.
The Hino 500 Series is equipped with ProShift 6 automatic transmissions, delivering a fuel consumption reduction of 10–15 per cent when compared with identical vehicles.
The Hino ProShift 6 AMT features two-pedal only driveline, and has no clutch pedal. The mechanical clutch operation is controlled by the on-board computer and shift actuator. Clutch components are subjected to significantly less wear than conventional manual transmission models.
